What We Believe

We believe that forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who believe in Jesus and accept Him as their personal Savior and Lord. (See John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 5:15)

We believe that those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith and be baptized (meaning – be immersed in water) into Him. We understand baptism to be the faith response God commands in order to receive the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. (See Acts 2:38-41; Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Peter 3:21-22)

We believe the Bible is God’s Word. It instructs us as to how God would have us live. Because the Bible’s words originate with God, it contains no errors and is completely trustworthy in all things. (See 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 19:7-11; Psalm 119)

We believe there is one God, the God of the Bible, who eternally exists in three co-equal persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. (See Ephesians 4:6; John 1:1-14; Genesis 1:1, 1:26-27, 3:22; Matthew 28:19; Psalm 90:2)

We believe God hears and answers prayer. (See 1 John 5:14-15; 2 Chronicles 7:14; Psalm 66:19)

We believe Jesus Christ will one day return to earth and reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords. (See 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Acts 1:9-11)

We share in communion (the Lord’s Supper) each week and welcome other believers to share in it with us. (See Acts 2:42, 20:7; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

We consider it a privilege to be called Christians. It’s a name that honors Jesus and can be traced back to first century followers. (See Acts 11:26)

We encourage unity among all Christians who together form the church. (See Ephesians 4; 1 Corinthians 12:14-16; John 17:20-23)
